Amy is an experienced leadership advisor who has spent her career helping organizations build strong leaders and leadership systems. She is recognized for her ability to translate leadership research and insight into practical strategies that strengthen leadership capability, build future-ready leadership pipelines, and support long-term organizational success.

Prior to joining Proximity, Amy was a leader in Deloitte's Leadership Advisory practice, where she worked with CEOs, Boards, CHROs, and executive teams on leadership excellence, succession planning, executive and senior leader development, and organizational effectiveness. She began her career at McKinsey & Company, and later completed doctoral research examining leadership in healthcare and other complex environments. Her research has been published in leading academic and practitioner journals, including The Leadership Quarterly and The American Journal of Surgery.

Amy holds a PhD in Organizational Behaviour, a Masters of Science in Management, and a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen's University. She is certified in The Leadership Circle Profile and Hogan Assessments.

Yusra is a project and operations professional with experience supporting organizational effectiveness, coordinating cross-functional initiatives, and improving team processes. She is skilled in defining deliverables, tracking milestones, facilitating communication, and promoting transparency across projects and operational activities.

At Proximity, Yusra supports project and operational initiatives by coordinating workflows, assisting with executive and stakeholder collaboration, and contributing to process improvements that enhance efficiency and team alignment. She also brings experience in onboarding, training development, and supporting strategic priorities across the organization.

Yusra holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, a professional Project Management certification, and additional training in Lean Six Sigma.

Susan is a seasoned healthcare executive who has dedicated her career to strengthening Ontario hospital leadership. She is motivated by her commitment to contributing to high quality safe care for the people of the province. Her background includes a combination of executive and senior leadership roles at Sinai Health, University Health Network, and Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital in the areas of strategy, transformation, and people and culture. She has a strong track record of supporting CEOs and executive teams and is well recognized for her ability to translate innovative vision into leadership action.

Susan serves on the board of Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation and is a volunteer with 99.3 County FM.

Susan has a Master of Arts, Leadership from The University of Guelph, a Bachelor of Arts, Christianity and Culture from The University of Toronto (U of T), and has her certification as an Executive Coach. She is a graduate of the Rotman Executive Leadership Certificate (U of T) and the Diversity and Inclusion Certificate from Cornell University.

Bettina is an experienced administrative professional with over 13 years of experience, including more than seven years providing executive-level support. She brings experience across the legal, technology, education, and property management sectors, with a background in executive support, operations, event coordination, and client and stakeholder relations.

At Proximity, Bettina serves as Executive Assistant to the CEO, supporting the CEO and broader team with executive priorities, scheduling, coordination, and day-to-day operations. She is skilled at managing competing priorities, coordinating complex logistics, and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Claire brings a dual lens to the Proximity team coming from both an arts and business background. She has worked closely with government, arts and healthcare leaders across Canada.

Claire has led a variety of projects at Proximity including a creative film project to influence the strategic prioritization of equity, diversity, inclusion and anti-racism in Ontario hospitals, and a series of CEO roundtables. She continues to drive Proximity’s strategy through project leadership.

She has a Bachelor of Arts in Arts Management and is an MBA candidate at the Ted Rogers School of Management at Toronto Metropolitan University.

Barbara leads all aspects of communications and brand strategy for Proximity.

An accomplished communications executive and strategic advisor, her experience spans corporate communications, reputation and issues management, organizational change, and stakeholder engagement across health care and the private sector.

Most recently, Barbara served as Vice President, Corporate Communications at Sinai Health, where she led strategic communications and advised senior leadership on complex organizational issues. Her career also includes senior communications roles with national and multinational organizations.

Barbara is a graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University’s Public Relations program and completed executive education at the Rotman School of Management and Cornell University.

As Director of Strategic Research at Proximity, Christine pursues strategically aligned research initiatives in support of the priorities that matter most to Ontario hospital leadership. She has led research partnerships with the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and Ivey Business School.

Christine has held various roles at the Ontario Hospital Association, Centre for Addiction and Mental Health and the University of Western Ontario.

Christine has a Master of Arts in health geography, a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in geography and is a certified Project Management Professional.

Andrea leads all aspects of communications and brand strategy for Proximity. She first joined the team to launch Proximity – its name, brand and mandate – to Ontario hospital leadership.

Andrea’s experience spans corporate communications and digital strategy in the media and health care sectors. She previously worked at Michael Garron Hospital and led communications for many of the Hospital’s priorities and change initiatives.

Andrea serves on the board of Eastview Neighbourhood Community Centre.

She has a Master of Business Administration, a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in media and information studies, as well as certificates in digital communications and strategic public relations.

Milan is a communications professional with a strong strategic and technical background encompassing roles in PR, social media, and communications strategy. His prior experience includes non-profit work focusing on social and environmental issues.

Milan is tasked with the upkeep of strategic communications and brand reputation for Proximity.

He has a Master in Communications Practice from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in Media, Culture, and Communication from New York University.

In her 20 years with the Ontario Hospital Association (OHA) and since her move to Proximity, Lina has mastered the components of corporate operations including finance and risk, human resources and team management and board administration. Lina is leveraging this experience in her role at Proximity to lead operational excellence.

Amongst her achievements, Lina led HealthAchieve, the largest event in the Canadian health care sector at the time.

Lina has a Bachelor of Business Management and a diploma in human resources administration.

Jenika joined the health care sector from the field of higher education. In her previous role as a strategist at a public college, she developed and shaped institutional planning processes and initiatives. She is leading work on Board Chair succession at Proximity.

Jenika serves on the Board of Directors of the Children’s Treatment Network, where she is a member of the Governance and Service Excellence Committee.

She has a Master of Business Administration, a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in International Development Studies and certificates in project management and change management.
